Jayanthi Wijethunge who has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of the Western Province commenced her duties on 05.02.2020 at the Office of the Chief Secretary located in Western Provincial Council Building Complex in Battaramulla.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Second Upper) from the University of Colombo and also a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Management from Postgraduate Institute. Further, she holds a Master\u2019s Degree in Public Management and she also holds a postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management from the Victoria University of Manchester.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mrs. J.M.C Jayanthi Wijethunge, who is a special grade officer in Sri Lanka Administrative Service, has served as the Chief Secretary of the Western Province from 01.04.2013 \u2013 20.09.2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to her re-appointment to the post of Chief Secretary of the Western Province, she has served as the secretary to the Ministry of Environment and Wild life Resource, the Secretary to the Ministry of Justice and Prison Reforms and the Secretary to the State Ministry of Higher Education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Further, Mrs. J.M.C.
